Product Description

HKS 13001-AH008 is an R Type intercooler core designed specifically for the FL5 Honda Civic Type R with the K20C turbocharged engine. The factory-replacement front-mount design increases the intercooler's core area by 22.4% compared with the OEM unit, providing greater charge-air cooling capacity for performance-oriented applications.

The 695 x 178 x 100mm core uses a 10-fin, 9-tube configuration with cast-aluminum tanks. HKS designed the layout to work with the factory intercooler piping, making this part the core-only alternative to the complete HKS 13001-AH007 intercooler and piping kit. HKS testing reports an intercooler outlet temperature of 30.3°C at 7,000 rpm and 88% cooling efficiency under its specified test conditions.

This part is supplied as the intercooler core with an HKS logo spray masking sheet. Installation requires modification of the air guide inside the bumper and relocation of the outside air temperature sensor, while no reinforcement modification is required.
