Fitment Notes

• Compatible with the RZ High Performance 1st Edition (GXPA16) only - developed and tested specifically on this variant. Compatibility with other GR Yaris trim levels (e.g., standard GR Yaris, Circuit Pack variants) is not confirmed by HKS.
• Model year coverage per HKS Japan official documentation: September 2020 through March 2024 (09/2020-03/2024), corresponding to the Gen 1 / Pre-Minor Change GXPA16 platform.
• For AT (automatic transmission) vehicles, HKS recommends raising the front ride height by 3mm from the factory setting due to weight differential vs. MT models.
• This kit uses an inverted monotube damper front / normal type rear configuration with separated rear spring and damper layout - note the rear spring and damper are not coilover-integrated (separate units).
• If increasing spring rate for hill climbs, mini track, or high-grip tire use, change spring free length to F=78(8)-170mm / R=69(7)-220mm per HKS specification. Recommended damping setting after rate increase: Front D=15 / Rear D=13.

Product Description

The HKS 80330-AT025 HIPERMAX S is a full coilover kit purpose-engineered for the 2020-2024 Toyota GR Yaris RZ High Performance 1st Edition (GXPA16), covering the G16E-GTS 1.6L turbocharged AWD platform from September 2020 through March 2024. Developed through extensive HKS testing on the RZ High Performance variant specifically, the kit delivers a well-balanced tune that improves roll rigidity, cornering stability, and overall drivability without sacrificing the GR Yaris's factory ride quality. Factory spring rates of 69 N/mm front and 59 N/mm rear were selected after testing multiple configurations to suit a wide range of drivers - from daily street use to winding roads and occasional performance driving.

The kit features an inverted monotube front damper with the Dual PVS and WR Needle system for refined, wide-range damping control across 30 adjustment steps. The rear uses a normal-type monotube damper in a separated spring/damper layout - note that the front is a coilover-integrated unit while the rear spring and damper are separate components. HKS recommends increasing spring rates (with free length adjustments) for hill climbs, mini track use, or high-grip tire applications. The kit ships at a factory drop of approximately 25mm front and 26mm rear, with an adjustable range of up to 45mm front and 47mm rear below stock.
