The Hellwig 2002 Traction Control Spring Kit is an economical bolt-on solution for wheel hop, spring wrap, and traction loss on trucks and SUVs equipped with 2.5-inch wide rear leaf springs. Spring wrap - the twisting and winding of leaf springs under hard acceleration - is a common problem on leaf-sprung rear axles and leads to wheel hop, driveline stress, and inconsistent power delivery to the ground. The Hellwig 2002 mounts directly onto the front half of the factory leaf spring stack using the included U-bolts and hardware, creating a counter-wrap force that stabilizes the axle during acceleration on both paved and off-road surfaces.

Made from powder-coated alloy steel and produced in Hellwig's Visalia, California facility, this kit is compatible with stock, lowered, and lifted ride heights and requires no cutting or drilling. The installation process takes roughly 30 minutes with basic hand tools.
