Designed for the GMT400-platform Chevy/GMC full-size C/K series pickups (1988-1999 body style).
Fits SRW (Single Rear Wheel) models only - does NOT fit DRW/dually.
For 2000 model year, fits the 1500 "Classic" carryover body only - NOT the new GMT800 Silverado/Sierra 1500.
Does not fit 1999+ GMT800-platform Silverado/Sierra 1500 - that platform requires a different Hellwig sway bar.
Fits both 2WD and 4WD configurations (with some year-specific variations).

Product Description

The Hellwig 7555 Rear Sway Bar Kit delivers a major handling upgrade for 1988-2000 Chevrolet and GMC C/K 1500, 2500, and 3500 SRW pickups (GMT400 platform, including 2000 Silverado/Sierra 1500 Classic body). Built from 1-1/8 inch heat-treated 4140 chromoly spring steel with forged (never welded) ends and Hellwig's proprietary end treatment, this bar dramatically reduces body roll for better cornering traction and truck control - especially when towing or hauling.

Installation is a straightforward bolt-on procedure using the included polyurethane bushings and heavy-gauge hardware. Ideal for GMT400 daily drivers, tow rigs, and fleet trucks where the factory rear sway bar falls short under load. Does not fit dually configurations.
