• The 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma does NOT come equipped with a factory rear sway bar - this is a complete add-on kit. All required brackets, axle clamps, end links, bushings, and hardware are included.
• Installation requires drilling two 1/2" holes into the rear frame rails - one on each side. Plan for a moderate-difficulty installation.
• Does NOT fit the 2024+ fourth-generation Toyota Tacoma, which uses a redesigned rear suspension platform.

The Hellwig 7744 Rear Sway Bar is a complete bolt-on add-on kit engineered for the 2016-2023 third-generation Toyota Tacoma. Like the F-150, the third-gen Tacoma arrives from the factory with no rear sway bar at all - a significant omission on a truck that is frequently driven in spirited on-road conditions, used for towing, or driven over trails where rear stability becomes critical during recovery and high-speed off-road runs. The Hellwig 7744 fills this gap with a solid 3/4" heat-treated 4140 chromoly bar custom-designed for the Tacoma's rear axle, which comes in two different configurations across the production run - Hellwig engineered the 7744 to fit both variants without modification.

The adjustable rate design with three-hole end link positions gives owners meaningful control over the bar's effective stiffness. The inner hole provides the firmest setting for maximum anti-roll resistance during towing or performance driving. The center hole balances on-road handling with light trail use. The outer hole maximizes rear suspension compliance, preserving axle articulation for technical off-road driving. Installation requires drilling two 1/2" holes into the rear frame rails - one on each side - which is a one-time modification that requires intermediate mechanical skill and a 1/2" drill bit. The complete kit includes all frame brackets, axle clamps, end links, polyurethane bushings, and hardware, with nothing borrowed from the factory.
