Product Description

The Hellwig 7708 Front Sway Bar is a direct-fit handling upgrade engineered for the 2009-2018 Ram 1500 in 2WD configuration at stock ride height. The factory front sway bar on these trucks is engineered to balance ride comfort with general handling capability, but falls short when push comes to shove on the highway - particularly during lane changes, towing maneuvers, and loaded cornering situations. The Hellwig 7708 replaces the factory unit with a solid 1-1/2" heat-treated 4140 chromoly bar, delivering a meaningful step up in front lateral stiffness. Drivers will notice reduced front body lean in corners, less understeer under load, and a more planted, predictable front-end feel from the first drive. The distinctive black hammertone powdercoat finish also gives the undercarriage a cleaner, more purposeful appearance compared to the factory unit.

The 7708 is engineered to retain the factory front end links, making installation clean and straightforward. High-durometer polyurethane bushings are included and provide superior roll resistance and reduced NVH compared to the factory rubber units. All mounting hardware is included and the installation uses the factory bracket mounting points - no drilling or fabrication required. One important restriction: this bar is designed for stock ride height only. Ram 1500 models with any front lowering kit installed are not compatible, as confirmed directly by Hellwig technical support. It is also a 2WD-exclusive application and will not fit 4WD variants.
