Fitment Notes

• The 7269 is designed for the GMT800 platform (3rd-generation) Silverado HD and Sierra HD, which spans the 2001-2006 model years for most trims, plus the 2007 Classic model year trucks built on the GMT800 platform before the mid-2007 launch of the GMT900-based redesign. Only the "Classic" designation 2007 trucks (built on the older platform) are confirmed for the 7269.
• For 2007.5-2010 Silverado/Sierra 2500HD/3500HD (GMT900 platform) with Duramax diesel, use Hellwig part #7267. For the GMT900 platform with gas engine, verify the correct part number with Hellwig at 1-800-HELLWIG (435-5944).
• Fits both SRW (single rear wheel) and DRW (dual rear wheel / dually) configurations - confirmed by Hellwig's product title "SRW&Dually." TruckSpring confirms the 7269 fits 2003 Chevy Silverado 3500HD dually and GMC Sierra 3500HD dually.
• Compatible with lifted trucks - for trucks with a 6-inch suspension lift, extended end links (Hellwig part #HW7977) and a clevis kit (Hellwig part #HW7964) are required in addition to the 7269. Contact Hellwig or TruckSpring for end link options specific to your lift height.
• Compatible with air bag/air spring suspension kits. The sway bar mounts to the rear axle and does not interfere with air bags mounted on top of the leaf pack or on bump stop contact pads.
• Custom aftermarket exhaust may affect clearance - verify that your exhaust routing does not conflict with the sway bar installation before ordering. The instruction sheet shows the bar routing; compare with the exhaust location on your specific truck.
• All mounting hardware, polyurethane bushings, end link assemblies, and brackets are included. No additional hardware purchases are required for stock-height trucks.

As the Big Wig flagship for the 3rd-generation Silverado/Sierra HD platform, the 7269 delivers over 20% more rear roll stiffness than standard sway bars - transforming the handling of these trucks for heavy towing, truck camper hauling, gooseneck loads, and fifth-wheel operations where the absence of a factory rear sway bar leaves the rear suspension with zero torsional roll resistance.

The 7269 uses solid heat-treated ASTM 4140 chromoly steel with a 1-5/16" cross-section and 170,000 psi tensile strength, plus scaled-up mounting hardware specifically designed to resist the vibration and shock loads generated by heavy payloads and tall-profile towing configurations.
