Fitment Notes

• Fits both 2WD and 4WD configurations on all applicable Tundra and Sequoia models.
• Toyota Tundra models WITHOUT a factory trailer hitch require the Hellwig 7699 mounting kit, sold separately, for proper installation.
• Toyota Tundra models WITH a factory trailer hitch do not require the additional 7699 kit.
• Toyota Sequoia models reuse the factory front end links. Replacement end links (Hellwig 7978) are available separately if factory links are worn or damaged.
• End links are NOT included in this kit for either application.
• This bar fits the first-generation Tundra and Sequoia (T150 platform) only - does not fit the second-generation 2007+ Tundra or 2008+ Sequoia.

Product Description

The Hellwig 7697 Front Sway Bar is a direct-fit suspension upgrade engineered for the 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra and 2001-2007 Toyota Sequoia in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. The factory front sway bar on these first-generation T150-platform trucks and SUVs is sized for a balance of ride comfort and general handling, but proves insufficient under the demands of cornering with passengers and cargo, towing, or simply spirited driving. The Hellwig 7697 replaces the factory bar with a solid 1-1/4" heat-treated 4140 chromoly unit - a meaningful diameter increase that delivers noticeably improved lateral stiffness, reduced front body lean through corners, and a more balanced, planted overall driving feel.

Installation approach differs slightly between the two platforms. Sequoia owners reuse the factory front end links (replacement Hellwig 7978 end links are available separately if needed). Tundra owners with a factory trailer hitch can install the bar using the included hardware, while Tundra models without a factory trailer hitch require the separately available Hellwig 7699 mounting kit to complete the installation. End links are not included with this kit for either application. All other mounting hardware needed is included, and the installation is fully bolt-on using the factory front axle mount points.

Fitment covers the complete 2000-2006 first-generation Tundra and 2001-2007 first-generation Sequoia lineups across all trim levels, engine options, and both 2WD and 4WD drivetrains. This bar does not fit the second-generation 2007+ Tundra or 2008+ Sequoia, which are built on a different platform.
