Vehicle Fitment

  • Universal fitment - designed for any race vehicle equipped with compatible Wilwood 4-piston calipers using the 7816 pad shape (0.600" thickness) and central bridge bolt or dual retaining pin retention.
  • Wilwood DynaPro Narrow Lug Mount (7816) - compatible
  • Wilwood Narrow Dynalite cast - compatible
  • Wilwood Narrow Dynalite forged - compatible
  • Wilwood Narrow Dynalite billet - compatible
  • Wilwood Narrow Dynalite radial mount - compatible
  • StopTech ST-42 - compatible

Fitment Notes

  • Universal caliper-specific fitment - not assigned to any particular vehicle make, model, or axle position.
  • Pad thickness is 0.600 in. - Wilwood pad shape 7816. Verify your caliper uses this shape and thickness before ordering.
  • Fits calipers with a central bridge bolt or two retaining pins only - does NOT fit Wilwood Forged Dynalite or Dynalite-M calipers, which use a central cotter pin and require the HB540 pad shape.
  • For circuit racing and high-performance track use only - not suitable for street daily driving.
  • Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors; designed for iron/metal rotors only.
  • Requires a proper race bed-in procedure after installation before competitive use.
  • No hardware included.

Features

  • DTC-70 compound is Hawk's highest-torque race formulation - engineered with extremely aggressive initial bite for the maximum deceleration rates demanded by serious circuit racing.
  • Exceptional torque control with superb modulation and release characteristics - delivers precise, predictable braking under repeated heavy stops.
  • Superior pad and rotor wear life for a top-tier race compound - well-suited for both sprint and endurance racing formats.
  • High temperature operating range of 400-1600°F with an optimal window of 800-1200°F - built for sustained hard braking at professional circuit speeds.
  • Proven across NASCAR, Sports Car/GT, Open Wheel/Formula, and Trans-Am competition.
  • Works as a standalone front or rear compound, or in split-friction setups with DTC-60 on the opposing axle.
  • Backed by Hawk's limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Product Description

The Hawk HB542U.600 DTC-70 brake pads are purpose-built for Wilwood Narrow Dynalite and DynaPro Narrow Lug Mount calipers using the 7816 pad shape at 0.600" thickness - secured by a central bridge bolt or dual retaining pins. The 0.600" thickness distinguishes this from the thinner 0.490" HB542 variant and is the correct pad for the full range of Narrow Dynalite configurations (cast, forged, billet, and radial mount) as well as StopTech ST-42 calipers. As a universal caliper-specific product, these pads fit any race or performance vehicle equipped with compatible Wilwood hardware, regardless of make or model.

The DTC-70 compound is Hawk's most aggressive and highest-torque motorsport formula, designed for experienced racers demanding maximum stopping bite at sustained high-speed circuit conditions. With an optimal temperature window of 800-1200°F, these pads must be properly heat-cycled through a race bed-in procedure before competitive use and are not intended for street driving under any circumstances. Many racers pair DTC-70 up front with DTC-60 on the rear for an optimized split-friction balance.
