The HP Plus compound sits above the HPS and HPS 5.0 formulas in Hawk's street/track hierarchy, offering a significant leap in brake torque and high-temperature fade resistance - making it the preferred choice for GT and V6 Mustang owners who autocross, open-track, or simply want the most aggressive braking upgrade that still allows daily street use.

Unlike full race compounds, the HP Plus retains acceptable cold-bite and streetability, so owners can drive to a track day, run competitive sessions, and drive home on the same set of pads. Users should expect noticeably more noise and dust compared to street pads - this is a normal characteristic of the elevated friction material. A proper bed-in procedure is required after installation to transfer the Ferro-Carbon friction film onto the rotor surface for full performance and reduced rotor wear.
