Fitment Notes

• Position: Front axle only for all applications listed above.
• Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. For use with iron/metal rotors only.
• This pad fits the Volvo Polestar 6-piston Brembo front caliper with 371mm x 32mm 2-piece front rotors fitted as standard equipment to all Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar models. This is the large Polestar-specific front brake package - standard non-Polestar S60 and V60 models use smaller front calipers and require a different pad.
• The 2018 Volvo S60 Polestar fitment is valid to Chassis/VIN 450008 only. Vehicles beyond this VIN may use a different brake configuration - confirm your VIN before ordering for 2018 applications.
• The 2015-2016 Polestar models use the 3.0L inline-6 turbocharged engine (B6304T4, 345hp). The 2017-2018 Polestar models switched to the 2.0L four-cylinder twin-charged engine (B4204T37, 367hp). All Polestar S60 and V60 models covered here are all-wheel drive.
• A minimum 20-inch wheel diameter with sufficient offset is generally required to clear the 371mm Polestar Brembo front caliper and rotor assembly. Verify wheel clearance before installation if running non-OEM wheels.
• DTC-60 is a pure motorsport compound not suitable for street use. It requires sustained operating temperatures that cannot be achieved in normal road driving, and its aggressive friction characteristics would create unpredictable cold-braking behavior on public roads.

The Hawk HB581G.660 DTC-60 front brake pads are engineered for the Volvo Polestar 6-piston Brembo front caliper and 371mm x 32mm 2-piece front rotor system standard on all Volvo S60 Polestar and V60 Polestar models from 2015 through 2018. The fitment covers the 3.0L inline-6 turbocharged Polestar variants (2015-2016 S60 T6 Polestar and V60 T6 Polestar) and the later 2.0L twin-charged four-cylinder Polestar variants (2017-2018 S60 Polestar and 2017 V60 Polestar). The 2018 S60 Polestar is covered to Chassis/VIN 450008 - verify VIN for late 2018 production vehicles. The standard non-Polestar S60 and V60 models use a different, smaller front caliper and are not covered by this fitment.

DTC-60 is the natural compound progression for Polestar owners who compete at circuit events and track days where the OEM front pads have proven insufficient. Its 400-1,600°F operating range (optimal: 700-1,100°F) addresses the elevated thermal loads the Polestar's 6-piston Brembo front calipers generate under sustained hard braking, while the compound's defining combination of high torque, excellent modulation, and clean release makes it well-matched to the Polestar platform's performance characteristics. The DTC-60 produces less initial bite and somewhat lower peak torque than the DTC-70 - making it the appropriate choice for the Polestar's front axle where controllable, progressive engagement is more effective than the extreme aggression of DTC-70 on a mid-weight AWD performance sedan.
