Product Description

The Hawk Performance HB900W.572 DTC-30 rear brake pads are a high-performance motorsport compound engineered for drivers who demand precision, consistency, and high-temperature durability from their braking system. Designed specifically for the rear axle of the 10th and 11th generation Honda Civic (2016-2025), including all trims from the base LX to the track-focused Type R and Type R Limited Edition, as well as the 2018-2020 Acura RDX and the 2025 Acura Integra Type S, these pads are a direct drop-in replacement requiring no caliper modifications. The DTC-30 compound is widely respected in motorsport circles for its controllable torque delivery, smooth and progressive initial bite, and outstanding release characteristics that give drivers the confidence to trail-brake and modulate braking with precision under race conditions.

The DTC-30 compound operates across a wide temperature window of 100°F to 1200°F, making it equally capable from a cold street start as it is during sustained high-speed track sessions. Unlike many street-only pads, DTC-30 was developed for dirt and circle track racing, drag racing, NASCAR modified, trophy trucks, and pro buggies - meaning it handles brake fade scenarios that would overwhelm conventional performance pads. At 0.572 inches thick and referencing FMSI number D1878, these pads install precisely in OEM rear calipers. Note that they are designed exclusively for iron and metal rotors; they are not compatible with carbon ceramic brake systems.

For street-driven vehicles, it is important to understand that the DTC-30 compound may produce more brake noise and dust than standard street pads - a normal characteristic of a motorsport-grade friction material. Hawk recommends a proper bed-in procedure before aggressive use to fully seat the pad material and achieve peak performance. Backed by Carlisle Brake & Friction's limited warranty against defects in workmanship and materials, these pads are an ideal upgrade for Type R owners, autocross competitors, and track day enthusiasts who want genuine race-compound braking on a platform-specific fitment.
