  • 2016 Cadillac ATS-V (3.6L Twin-Turbocharged V6, RWD) - Rear

Fitment Notes

  • Position: Rear axle only for all applications listed above.
  • Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. For use with iron/metal rotors only.
  • The C7 Corvette Z06 and Grand Sport "Exc. Ceramic Composite Brakes" notation indicates this pad fits models equipped with standard iron/metal rotors only. Z06 and Grand Sport vehicles optioned with the Ceramic Composite Brake (CCB) package use carbon ceramic rotors and are not compatible with any Ferro-Carbon brake pad.
  • The C7 Corvette Stingray fitment covers both base and Performance Package (Z51) variants for 2014-2018. All covered Stingray models use the 6.2L LT1 naturally aspirated V8. The Z06 uses the 6.2L LT4 supercharged V8 (650hp). Both are rear-wheel drive.
  • The 6th-generation Camaro SS (2016+) uses the 6.2L LT1 V8 with rear-wheel drive.
  • The 2016 Cadillac ATS-V uses the 3.6L twin-turbocharged V6 with rear-wheel drive.
  • OE shims are included for applicable Corvette and Camaro SS applications per Hawk fitment notation.
  • HP Plus is an autocross and track day compound that delivers more initial bite and fade resistance than HPS 5.0 at the cost of increased dust and noise. It is streetable for dual-use driving but is not optimized for quiet, low-maintenance daily use.

Features

  • HP Plus Ferro-Carbon compound - Hawk's benchmark autocross and track day formulation for the C7 Corvette, Camaro SS, and ATS-V rear calipers, delivering fade-resistant rear braking across the full performance driving envelope while remaining streetable for dual-use owners who drive to and from events without changing rear pads.
  • Wide operating temperature range - 100-800°F total range with a 300-600°F optimal window, covering the full thermal envelope of competitive autocross events, HPDE sessions, and track days where the rear calipers of these powerful RWD vehicles generate heat that HPS 5.0 and standard street replacements cannot consistently handle without fading.
  • Strong cold bite from the first application - Delivers effective rear brake torque from ambient temperature without a warm-up cycle, making it practical for autocross competition where pads start cold at each run and short session lengths prevent heat build-up before the first timed pass.
  • Fade resistant under repetitive hard braking - Sustains consistent rear brake torque across back-to-back autocross runs and track sessions, maintaining performance at temperatures where HPS 5.0 begins to approach its ceiling in these high-powered rear-wheel-drive platforms.
  • Smooth and predictable rear torque - The HP Plus compound's progressive engagement supports stable RWD chassis behavior on the Corvette Stingray, Z06, Grand Sport, Camaro SS, and ATS-V, allowing confident trail-braking and controlled rear brake engagement without the abrupt initial bite of DTC-series race compounds.
  • Lower rotor wear than dedicated race compounds - The HP Plus Ferro-Carbon formulation produces significantly lower rear disc wear than DTC-series compounds, extending rotor service life across competitive seasons and track day schedules.
  • Streetable for dual-use driving - Designed to be driven on public roads to and from events without changing rear pads, making HP Plus the natural choice for Corvette, Camaro SS, and ATS-V owners who compete at autocross and attend HPDE sessions while also driving their car on the street. Expect more dust and potential noise compared to HPS 5.0.
  • 100% asbestos, lead, chromium, cadmium, and antimony free - Manufactured in an ISO-certified facility to strict quality and environmental standards.

Product Description

The Hawk HB727N.592 HP Plus rear brake pads fit the rear caliper of the C7 Corvette Stingray (2014-2018, including Z51 and Performance Package variants), Corvette Z06 (2015-2018, excluding Ceramic Composite Brakes), Corvette Grand Sport (2016-2018, excluding Ceramic Composite Brakes), 6th-generation Camaro SS (2014-2017), and 2016 Cadillac ATS-V. Z06 and Grand Sport models with the optional CCB ceramic composite brake package use carbon ceramic rotors and are incompatible with this pad. OE shims are included for applicable applications.

HP Plus occupies the ideal compound position for owners of these vehicles who push their cars at autocross events and track days and need rear brake performance beyond what HPS 5.0 can deliver at elevated temperatures. Its 100-800°F operating range (optimal: 300-600°F) covers the complete thermal envelope of competitive autocross and HPDE use, with strong cold bite from the first run and sustained fade resistance through the last. The compound's progressive rear engagement supports the stable, planted chassis character these RWD platforms demand at the limit - where abrupt rear brake engagement would compromise chassis balance and traction on the way into corners. HP Plus remains streetable for daily use and driving to events, requiring only the trade-off of more dust and occasional noise compared to the quieter HPS 5.0.

This pad is for the rear axle only. A separate front pad is required for a complete brake upgrade. Compatible with iron and metal rotors only; carbon ceramic brake discs are not supported.
