Vehicle Fitment

  • 2014-2019 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray - Base/1LT/2LT/3LT (6.2L LT1 V8, RWD) - Front, J55 standard brake package, iron rotors

Fitment Notes

  • Front axle application only - FMSI D1474, OEM J55 standard brake package caliper, 0.582 in. pad thickness.
  • Fitment is specific to C7 Stingray models equipped with the standard J55 brake package - does not fit C7 Stingray models equipped with the optional Z51 Performance Package, which uses a larger Brembo front caliper requiring a different pad shape.
  • Does not fit the C7 Z06, Grand Sport, or ZR1 - those models use a different Brembo caliper system covered by the HB649 pad family.
  • Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors; designed for iron/metal rotors only.
  • Suitable for autocross, HPDE, spirited street driving, and track days - still drivable on the street after track use without requiring pad changes.
  • Expect increased dust, noise, and rotor wear compared to HPS or OEM pads.
  • No electronic wear sensor or hardware included.

Features

  • HP Plus Ferro-Carbon compound delivers the highest friction levels available in a pad that remains streetable - the ideal front upgrade for base C7 Stingray owners who take their car to autocross events, HPDE sessions, or track days without running a dedicated race compound.
  • Extremely high coefficient of friction provides aggressive, confident stopping power suited to the C7 Stingray's 455 hp rear-wheel-drive platform.
  • Wide operating temperature range of 100-800°F with an optimal window of 300-600°F - effective from a cold street start through sustained hard braking on circuit.
  • Fade-resistant across consecutive heavy stops - a significant improvement over OEM pads for drivers who push the Stingray hard in high-speed, repetitive braking environments.
  • Drivable on the street after a track day without pad changes, with no dedicated warm-up required from cold.
  • Backed by Hawk's limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Product Description

The Hawk HB726N.582 HP Plus front brake pads are engineered for the FMSI D1474 OEM caliper on the 2014-2019 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray equipped with the standard J55 brake package - the naturally aspirated, rear-wheel-drive sports car platform that has become one of the most popular choices for autocross competition and HPDE events in North America. For base Stingray owners who regularly attend track days or autocross events and want the maximum friction output available without swapping to a pure race compound, the HP Plus delivers the performance upgrade they need in a pad that can still be driven home after the event.

The HP Plus's wide effective temperature range, starting from cold and building through the optimal 300-600°F window during hard use, ensures confident braking from the very first stop at a morning autocross through a full afternoon of lapping. It is a significant step up in friction output over the HPS compound on the same pad shape, trading some quietness and reduced dust for noticeably more brake torque - the right choice for C7 drivers who have found the HPS fading under sustained track conditions. A proper bed-in procedure is required after installation to achieve optimal performance.
