Vehicle Fitment

  • 2006-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 (7.0L LS7 V8, RWD) - Rear, OEM 2-piece padlet caliper, OE shims and pins included
  • 2008 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 427 Limited Edition (7.0L LS7 V8, RWD) - Rear, OEM 2-piece padlet caliper
  • 2010-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Grand Sport (6.2L LS3 V8, RWD) - Rear, OEM 2-piece padlet caliper
  • 2009-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 (6.2L LS9 Supercharged V8, RWD) - Rear, OEM 2-piece padlet caliper

Fitment Notes

  • Rear axle application only - OEM 2-piece padlet caliper (C6 Z06 / Grand Sport / ZR1 rear brake system), 0.570 in. pad thickness.
  • OEM shims and retention pins included for direct drop-in installation.
  • Does not fit base C6 Corvette (2005-2013) - the base C6 uses a different rear caliper configuration requiring a different pad shape.
  • Grand Sport fitment applies to models equipped with the J56 high-performance brake package.
  • For circuit racing, HPDE, and track use only - not recommended for street daily driving.
  • Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors; designed for iron/metal rotors only.
  • Expect significantly increased noise, dust, and rotor wear compared to street compounds.
  • Requires a proper race bed-in procedure after installation before competitive use.

Features

  • DTC-60 compound delivers very high torque with high initial bite - engineered for the rear axle demands of track-driven LS7, LS3, and LS9-powered C6 variants at circuit speeds.
  • Superior release and torque control characteristics for precise, repeatable rear braking through consecutive corners.
  • Very low abrasive rotor wear for a high-torque race compound - extended rotor service life in endurance and sprint racing.
  • High temperature operating range of 400-1600°F with an optimal window of 700-1100°F - built for sustained track heat cycles.
  • Works well as a standalone rear compound, or in a split-friction setup with DTC-70 up front (HB531U.570) for optimized front-to-rear brake bias.
  • Proven across NASCAR, Sports Car/GT, Open Wheel/Formula, and Trans-Am competition.
  • Backed by Hawk's limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Product Description

The Hawk HB659G.570 DTC-60 rear brake pads are engineered for the rear OEM 2-piece padlet caliper on the 2006-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06, 2010-2013 Grand Sport, and 2009-2013 ZR1 - the performance C6 variants sharing the same rear caliper architecture. These pads are specifically shaped for the 2-piece OEM rear padlet design and arrive with factory shims and retention pins for direct installation. For C6 Z06, Grand Sport, and ZR1 drivers who have outgrown street compounds at track days or circuit events, the DTC-60 delivers the sustained, high-temperature rear braking performance these platforms demand.

The DTC-60's high optimal temperature window of 700-1100°F means these pads require sustained hard braking to reach peak performance. They are commonly paired with HB531U.570 DTC-70 front pads for a split-friction configuration that maximizes front braking bias on the C6's powerful rear-wheel-drive chassis. A proper race bed-in procedure is mandatory after installation, and these pads are not intended for street use.
