Product Description

The Hawk HB179W.630 DTC-30 brake pads are designed specifically for motorsports applications where controllable torque and consistent pedal feel are critical. The DTC-30 compound delivers smooth, progressive bite with superior release characteristics, making it ideal for dirt circle track racing, pavement oval racing, rally, and drag racing applications. With an exceptionally wide operating temperature range of 100-1200°F, these pads perform effectively from cold and maintain consistent friction characteristics under extreme heat. The Ferro-Carbon formulation provides excellent pad and rotor wear while delivering high deceleration rates. For road racing applications in lighter vehicles such as the Nissan 300ZX or Subaru WRX, the DTC-30 is commonly used on the rear axle paired with the more aggressive DTC-60 compound on the front for balanced braking performance. These are dedicated race pads and are not intended for street use. Proper bedding-in procedure with your rotors is required before competition use. Note: Not compatible with cross-drilled rotors.
