The Hawk HB247U.575 DTC-70 front brake pads are Hawk's most aggressive production racing compound for the FMSI D731 caliper, covering the 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5, 2005-2013 Corvette C6 Base and Z51, 2004-2009 Cadillac XLR, and 2005-2006 Pontiac GTO. The DTC-70 compound is purpose-built for high-deceleration, high-temperature race environments - delivering extremely high torque, aggressive initial bite, and outstanding release characteristics for precise braking control at speed. It is the top compound in Hawk's DTC lineup and a proven choice in NASCAR, ARCA, circle track, GT Sports Car, and open-wheel formula applications.

The DTC-70 is not an entry-level race compound and is not intended for street or cold-temperature use. It requires proper operating heat to function as designed, and will not provide adequate braking when cold. Serious track drivers who have already experienced the limits of the DTC-60 or other aggressive compounds will find the DTC-70 to be the definitive solution for the C5/C6 Corvette platform. It is frequently paired with DTC-60 pads on the rear axle to create an optimized split-friction race setup. A full race bed-in procedure must be completed before competitive use.
