  • 2004-2007 Porsche Boxster S (987) - Front
  • 2013 BMW Alpina B7 - Front

Fitment Notes

  • Front brake pad set - fits both left and right front calipers. One set covers the full front axle.
  • NOT for street use. The DTC-60 is a race-only compound requiring elevated operating temperatures to reach effective friction levels. It is not suitable for public road driving.
  • Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors - designed for use with iron/steel rotors only. Porsche PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) systems are NOT compatible.
  • Recommended for use with DTC-70 on the rear when a split friction setup is desired, providing front-biased brake balance with controlled rear engagement.
  • Requires a proper motorsport bedding/burnishing procedure before competition use. Follow Hawk's included instructions.
  • Verify caliper compatibility with your specific 911 variant - Turbo and Carrera 4S models use larger front calipers than base Carrera variants on some years.

Features

  • DTC-60 race compound - high torque with less initial bite than DTC-70, delivering superior release and torque control characteristics for precise front brake modulation.
  • Operating temperature range of 205-870°C (400-1,600°F) with optimal performance at 370-595°C (700-1,100°F) - suited for sustained track use, road racing, and high-speed circuit driving.
  • Superior release and torque control - provides progressive, controllable front braking with excellent modulation and fade resistance across the full race temperature window.
  • Very low abrasive rotor wear compared to higher-torque DTC compounds - reduces rotor surface degradation during sustained track sessions.
  • Popular front-axle choice for lightweight and mid-weight sports cars with or without aerodynamic downforce, where controlled front bite is preferred over aggressive initial grab.
  • Proven across Sports Car/GT/GS, Open Wheel/Formula, road racing, and pavement circle track disciplines.
  • Compatible with iron/steel rotors only - not for Porsche PCCB ceramic composite brake systems.

Product Description

The Hawk Performance HB667G.622 is a set of front disc brake pads in the DTC-60 compound - Hawk's high-torque race friction material with superior release and torque control characteristics - sized for the front caliper on Porsche 911 (996 generation) and 986/987 Boxster S variants. DTC-60 occupies the position in Hawk's motorsport range between the moderate DTC-30 and the more aggressive DTC-70: it delivers high torque with a less abrupt initial bite than the DTC-70, making it a preferred front-axle compound for sports cars where progressive, controllable front braking engagement is more important than maximum initial bite.

With an operating temperature range of 205-870°C (400-1,600°F) and optimal performance between 370-595°C (700-1,100°F), the DTC-60 is suited to sustained road racing and circuit use where brake temperatures consistently reach and hold within this window. On larger, heavier Porsche applications, it is commonly paired with DTC-70 on the rear to create a front-biased split friction setup. DTC-60 is not a street compound - it requires elevated brake temperatures to function correctly and should not be used on public roads. Not compatible with Porsche PCCB carbon ceramic brake systems; iron/steel rotors only.
