Product Description

The Haltech HT-183200 is the 2.5m (8 ft) universal wire-in harness for the Nexus R3 VCU - the foundation for any custom wiring build on a Nexus R3-equipped vehicle. Unlike a plug-in or terminated engine harness, this is a flying lead style harness: the VCU end is fully pre-terminated with the correct Nexus R3 main ECU connectors, CAN connectors, and wideband connector, while the opposite end presents all individual wires as bare, unterminated flying leads for the installer to route, trim to length, and connect to the specific sensors, injectors, coils, and actuators of the application. This approach gives experienced harness builders complete freedom over wire routing and loom layout, making it the correct choice for dedicated race car builds, engine swaps, and any application where no specific plug-in harness exists.

All wires throughout the harness are constructed from TXL - a thin-wall cross-linked polyethylene insulated wire rated for the elevated temperatures and vibration of performance engine environments. Every unterminated wire is color-coded and clearly labeled to match the Haltech Nexus R3 wiring diagram exactly, minimizing the risk of wiring errors during construction and simplifying trace-back during troubleshooting after installation. The included firewall grommet provides a clean, weatherproof solution for routing the harness through the firewall between engine bay and cabin, maintaining the integrity of the firewall seal on track and race vehicles.
