Fitment Notes

• Requires a Haltech TCA2 or TCA4 thermocouple amplifier - this thermocouple does not connect directly to the ECU without an amplifier.
• Fitting hardware (weld-in bung, nut, and ferrule) is NOT included. Order separately - common options include Haltech's 1/4" weld-on bung kits.
• The open tip design provides faster thermal response than sheathed probes but is more fragile - avoid direct contact with exhaust headers or other solid surfaces during installation routing.
• Cable length is 2.21M (87") - among the longest in the Haltech 1/4" open tip thermocouple series, suited to large-format chassis, tube-frame builds, or any installation with a long routing run between the exhaust sensor bung and a remotely mounted TCA amplifier.

Product Description

The Haltech HT-010874 is a 1/4" open tip K-type thermocouple with a 2.21M (87") cable - one of the longest options in Haltech's 1/4" open tip thermocouple lineup. It is designed for exhaust gas temperature (EGT) monitoring and high-temperature measurement on naturally aspirated and forced induction engines where substantial cable routing distance exists between the exhaust sensor bung and the TCA amplifier. At over seven feet in length, it accommodates large tube-frame race cars, extended underbody runs, rear-engine configurations, and any build where the TCA amplifier is mounted deep inside the cabin or at a significant distance from the exhaust. The open tip design delivers rapid thermal response for capturing fast EGT changes during boost transitions and high-load race events. Operating range is 0°C to 1,100°C (32°F to 2,012°F).

The thermocouple terminates in a mini K-type connector and plugs directly into Haltech's TCA2 or TCA4 thermocouple amplifier, which is required for ECU or data logger integration - the probe does not connect directly to the ECU without an amplifier. Fitting hardware (weld-in bung, nut, ferrule) is sold separately. Haltech offers this thermocouple in a full range of cable lengths starting from 0.72M (HT-010861) through to this and additional longer variants to match any chassis routing requirement.
