Product Description

The H&R 29853 is a Sport lowering spring set for the 1990-1996 Mercedes-Benz R129 SL-Class without self-leveling suspension, covering the 300SL, SL320, 500SL, and SL500 models. The set lowers the front approximately 1.3 inches and the rear approximately 1.0 inch for a balanced, level drop that closes the fender gap and gives the R129 roadster a noticeably more athletic stance while retaining the ride comfort expected from a grand touring convertible.

H&R's progressive rate spring design provides a firmer, more controlled feel than the factory spring while maintaining compliance over rough surfaces for confident daily driving. Manufactured in Germany from 54SiCr6 high-tensile spring steel rated at 290,000 PSI and shot-peened for a 200% increase in fatigue life over non-peened springs.
