Product Description

The H&R 52759 Sport Spring Set is engineered for the 1981-1991 Mercedes W126 S-Class SEC coupe and SEL long-wheelbase sedan equipped with gasoline 6-cylinder or V8 engines and factory Self-Leveling Suspension (SLS). Covering the 300SEL, 380SEC, 380SEL, 420SEL, 500SEC, 500SEL, 560SEC, and 560SEL variants, these progressive-rate springs lower the vehicle approximately 1.5 to 2.0 inches, closing the factory fender gap, lowering the center of gravity, and reducing body roll for sharper handling response.

Constructed from H&R's signature (hf) 54SiCr6 spring steel rated at 290,000 psi tensile strength, the springs are cold-formed, shot-peened, and individually tested in H&R's ISO9001 certified Lennestadt, Germany facility, then finished in classic H&R Blue powder coat. Compatible with the OEM dampers for a straightforward suspension upgrade. Installation note: the rear SLS hydraulic system will need to be drained and refilled during strut removal, so plan accordingly. Does not fit diesel models or W126 cars without the factory Self-Leveling Suspension. Backed by H&R's limited lifetime warranty.
