The H&R 28817-1 is a set of Sport lowering springs for the 2014-2018 BMW F15 X5 and 2015-2019 F16 X6 equipped with self-leveling rear suspension, covering the sDrive35i, xDrive35i, xDrive35d, and xDrive50i models across both platforms. These springs lower the front approximately 1.5 inches and the rear approximately 1.6 inches, dramatically reducing the factory fender well gap for a sportier, more aggressive stance while lowering the vehicle's center of gravity for improved handling, reduced body roll, and enhanced cornering stability. The progressive spring rate design retains superior ride comfort suitable for daily driving while delivering noticeably tighter chassis control during spirited driving.

This kit includes two front lowering springs and two rear links designed to work with the factory self-leveling rear suspension system -- this is not a standard spring-only kit. For F15 X5 models without self-leveling suspension, use H&R part number 28817-3 instead. For the X5 M (F85) and X6 M (F86), use H&R part number 28817-2. All H&R springs are crafted from a special 54SiCr6 spring steel rated at 290,000 PSI tensile strength, ensuring unrivaled resilience and durability that will not sag or set over time. Every spring is shot peened to increase fatigue life by more than 200% and is 100% tested before leaving H&R's ISO 9001 certified production facility in Germany. Aftermarket shocks designed to work with higher-rate springs -- such as Bilstein B8 -- are recommended for optimal performance.
