Fitment Notes

• Does NOT fit the 2011-2014 Ford Boss 302 - the Boss 302 uses a track-tuned factory suspension with different spring rates and geometry
• Sport Spring front drop of approximately 1.0" and rear drop of approximately 1.6" - actual lowering may vary slightly based on options and vehicle weight
• Compatible with factory shocks/struts in good condition; upgrading to performance dampers is recommended for optimal results

Product Description

The H&R 51690 Sport Spring kit is a complete front and rear lowering spring set engineered specifically for the 2011-2014 Ford Mustang on the S197 platform - covering both Coupe and Convertible body styles, with V6 and GT V8 applications. The progressive-wound springs lower the front approximately 1.0 inch and the rear approximately 1.6 inches, producing a rear-biased drop that gives the S197 a purposeful, planted stance while pulling the wheel-to-fender gap down to a level that looks right without going to an extreme. The asymmetric drop front-to-rear is intentional, as it compensates for the S197's naturally nose-high factory ride posture and levels the car's visual stance front to rear.

The H&R 51690 uses a progressive spring rate that begins relatively soft to absorb road irregularities and transitions to a higher rate under load - exactly what a daily-driven S197 needs. This design provides a noticeable improvement in cornering flatness and resistance to body roll compared to the factory springs, while keeping the ride livable on rough urban roads. The springs are a direct drop-in replacement for the factory units and are compatible with the OEM shocks and struts, though pairing with Bilstein or Koni performance dampers will unlock the full handling potential of the setup.

Built at H&R's ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility in Germany from special (hf) 54SiCr6 spring steel, every spring in this kit is shot-peened for extended fatigue life, block-set to prevent coil bind, and powder-coated in H&R's signature blue for corrosion resistance. The kit covers all standard 2011-2014 Mustang variants - V6 Coupe, V6 Convertible, GT Coupe, and GT Convertible - and does not fit the Shelby GT500 or Boss 302, which require dedicated applications due to their unique factory suspension setups. All four springs are included for a complete axle-to-axle installation.
