Product Description

The H&R 29162-8 is a Sport Spring lowering kit engineered specifically for the 2009-2017 Volkswagen CC equipped with the VR6 engine in Sport or Luxury trim, FWD configuration. Delivering 1.3" of front drop and 1.2" of rear drop, this kit closes the unsightly fender gap that plagues the CC platform from the factory, lowers the vehicle's center of gravity for measurably improved handling and reduced body roll, and gives the CC the planted, aggressive stance that complements its swept four-door coupe styling -- all while maintaining the daily-driver ride comfort that makes the CC such a livable sport sedan. The CC was Volkswagen's executive coupe-sedan, and the Sport Spring kit transforms it from comfortable cruiser to genuinely engaging handler without sacrificing the things that made it appealing in the first place.

H&R Sport Springs are engineered with a progressive rate design that delivers a comfortable initial response over small road inputs while providing firmer support during cornering and braking -- eliminating the floaty, body-roll-prone character of the factory springs without introducing harshness. Each spring is cold-formed and heat-treated from premium 50CrV4 high-tensile spring steel -- the highest tensile strength material available -- then shot-peened for fatigue resistance and powder-coated for long-term corrosion protection. The kit is designed to work with the factory shocks (or compatible aftermarket dampers) and is fully TUV approved for European homologation.
