Vehicle Fitment

  • 1989-1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo (SW20, 3S-GTE Gen 2, RWD)
  • 1990-1993 Toyota Celica GT-Four (ST185, 3S-GTE Gen 2, AWD)
  • 1993-1999 Toyota MR2 Turbo (SW20, 3S-GTE Gen 3, RWD)
  • 1993-1999 Toyota Celica GT-Four (ST205, 3S-GTE Gen 3, AWD)
  • 1994-1999 Toyota Caldina GT-T (ST215, 3S-GTE Gen 3, AWD)

Fitment Notes

  • Traditional smooth-style guide (no stopper) - seating depth must be measured and verified during installation.
  • Exhaust-specific guide for Gen 2 and Gen 3 3S-GTE; intake equivalent is GSC 3034-8.
  • Not compatible with Gen 1 (ST165 Celica, 1986-1989) or Gen 4/Gen 5 (Caldina ST215W/ST246W) 3S-GTE variants, which use different head and guide specifications.
  • Standard OD sizing; light honing of the guide boss may be required depending on head condition and target clearance specification.
  • Oversized OD options (+0.001" and +0.003") are available individually for heads requiring bore service.

Features

  • Manufactured from true C67410 Manganese Bronze for superior lubricity, heat dissipation, and long-term wear resistance over OEM cast iron guides.
  • CNC-turned on dedicated precision turning centers to maintain the tightest OD-to-ID concentricity tolerances in the aftermarket.
  • Traditional smooth profile for direct compatibility with standard Gen 2 and Gen 3 3S-GTE head configurations.
  • True-to-size OD minimizes guide boss honing on heads that don't require bore service, reducing overall installation time.
  • Exhaust-specific length (1.764" / 44.81mm) correctly sized for the 3S-GTE exhaust port geometry.
  • Compatible with GSC 3S-GTE exhaust valves, valve stem seals, and spring kits for a complete matched valvetrain rebuild.

Product Description

The GSC Power Division 3033-8 is a set of eight traditional smooth-style Manganese Bronze exhaust valve guides engineered for the Toyota 3S-GTE Gen 2 and Gen 3 turbocharged engine, used in the MR2 Turbo (SW20), Celica GT-Four (ST185 and ST205), and Caldina GT-T (ST215). Made from true C67410 Manganese Bronze rather than OEM cast iron, these guides provide improved lubricity, heat transfer, and wear life on the exhaust side - where thermal load from turbocharging is most demanding. The exhaust-specific length of 1.764" / 44.81mm is correctly sized for the Gen 2/Gen 3 exhaust port, and differs slightly from the intake guide (GSC 3034-8 at 1.765" / 44.83mm), confirming these are position-specific parts for a proper head build.

Precision CNC-turned to the tightest OD-to-ID concentricity tolerances in the aftermarket, the 3033-8 minimizes honing time on heads with undamaged guide bosses. The smooth traditional profile requires the installer to manually measure seating depth, making it the preferred choice for experienced engine builders set up for depth verification. For heads requiring bore service, +0.001" and +0.003" oversized options are available individually. The matching intake guide is GSC 3034-8.

A proven component for any Gen 2 or Gen 3 3S-GTE head rebuild, the 3033-8 pairs directly with GSC's 3S-GTE exhaust valves, valve stem seals, and spring kits for a fully matched high-performance valvetrain on the MR2, Celica GT-Four, or Caldina platform.
