Fitment Notes

• Set of 8 covers the intake side only; a separate part number is required for exhaust guides.
• The same guide dimensions are shared with the Nissan RB26DETT intake guide - however, the RB26DETT requires a set of 12 (GSC 3042-12) for a complete engine; do not use 3042-8 for a full RB26DETT head build.
• Traditional smooth-style guide (no stopper) - seating depth must be measured and verified during installation.
• Standard OD sizing; light honing of the guide boss may be required depending on head condition and target clearance specification.
• Oversized OD options (+0.001" and +0.003") are available individually for heads requiring bore service.

The GSC Power Division 3042-8 is a set of eight traditional smooth-style Manganese Bronze intake valve guides engineered for the Nissan SR20DET engine as used across the S13, S14, and S15 Silvia, JDM 180SX, and popular SR20DET swap applications in the 240SX and beyond. Made from true C67410 Manganese Bronze, these guides provide improved lubricity against the valve stem, better heat transfer, and significantly longer wear life than the factory cast iron replacements - all important benefits in high-boost SR20DET builds where the intake side sees elevated thermal cycling alongside aggressive cam profiles and high RPM operation.

Precision CNC-turned to the tightest OD-to-ID concentricity tolerances in the aftermarket, the 3042-8 requires minimal honing on undamaged guide bosses and fits directly into standard SR20DET head configurations. Note that the same guide dimensions apply to the Nissan RB26DETT intake guide, but the RB26DETT is a 12-cylinder-per-side engine requiring 3042-12 for a full build - 3042-8 covers the SR20DET's eight intake positions only. For heads requiring bore service, +0.001" and +0.003" oversized individual guides are available separately.
