Fitment Notes

• Shorty stopper-style exhaust guide - designed specifically for ported 4G63 heads where material has been removed from the port, reducing the standard 1.950" exhaust guide length to 1.800" to avoid obstructing airflow.
• Not recommended for unported stock heads where the standard-length 3003-8 (stopper style) or 3001-8 (smooth style) is the correct fitment.
• Standard OD sizing; light honing of the guide boss may be required depending on head condition and target clearance spec.
• Oversized OD options (+0.001" and +0.003") are available individually for heads requiring bore service.

The GSC Power Division 3005-8 is a set of eight shorty stopper-style Manganese Bronze exhaust valve guides engineered for the Mitsubishi 4G63 and 4G63T engine across all DSM platforms and Lancer Evolution I through IX. At 1.800" / 45.72mm, this guide is 0.150" shorter than the standard exhaust guide (1.950"), making it the correct choice for ported cylinder heads where material has been removed from the exhaust port. Running a full-length guide in a ported head can result in the guide tip protruding into the port and disrupting airflow - the 3005-8 eliminates that issue entirely.

The integrated stopper collar adds the same installation advantage found on the 3003-8: a built-in mechanical depth reference that seats against the guide boss during installation, ensuring all eight exhaust guides reach the correct seating depth without multiple driver checks. Like all GSC guides, the 3005-8 is turned from true C67410 Manganese Bronze on precision CNC turning centers, holding the tightest OD-to-ID concentricity tolerances available in the aftermarket. Minimal honing is required on heads with undamaged guide bosses. For heads requiring bore service, individually sold +0.001" and +0.003" oversized options are available.
