The GSC Power-Division 5746 is a single cylindrical valve spring and titanium retainer kit for the Gen 3, 4, and 5 Toyota 3S-GTE turbocharged 2.0L engine using the shim-under-bucket (SUB) valvetrain, found in the 1991-1995 MR2 Turbo SW20, 1988-1993 Celica All-Trac/GT-Four, 1994-1999 Celica GT-Four ST205, and 1997-1999 Caldina GT-T ST215. The kit includes 16 AS50 round wire valve springs and 16 lightweight CNC machined titanium retainers -- a complete set for one cylinder head. The springs are nano-peened and batched according to seat pressure within GSC's specifications, ensuring consistent pressure across all 16 valves for maximum reliability and performance. The titanium retainers are machined with tolerances and repeatability unmatched by competing brands.

This spring kit delivers 70 lbs of seat pressure at the 1.354-inch install height and 185 lbs of open pressure at 0.955 inches with the GSC S1 cam profile (or 193 lbs at 0.927 inches with the S2 profile), supporting engine speeds up to 8,200 RPM and boost pressures up to 32 PSI. The kit drops in with the factory OEM spring locator -- no cylinder head machining is required. It is compatible with GSC S1 (268/268), S2 (274/274), or similar cam profiles, making it the ideal companion to a GSC camshaft upgrade on a turbo-upgraded 3S-GTE build. This kit is specifically for shim-under-bucket 3S-GTE heads -- it does not fit the Gen 2 shim-over-bucket configuration.
