Product Description

The GrimmSpeed GRM093073 splitter fixes a well-known weakness of the factory hood scoop on 2002-2003 WRX models: much of the ram air entering the scoop flows around the intercooler fins rather than through them, wasting the cooling potential of the top mount intercooler. By mounting to the underside of the hood scoop, this splitter redirects that airflow directly onto the intercooler core, delivering a 70% increase in flow capacity to the TMIC.

The result is measurably lower charge air temperatures and more consistent power delivery during sustained boost, particularly at higher vehicle speeds where ram air pressure is most significant - giving tuners more headroom for aggressive tuning without the heat soak that plagues an unsplit factory scoop.
