The D6 is Go Rhino's most off-road focused design in the Dominator Xtreme series: rather than a nerf bar with welded hoop steps (D2) or a slider with an integrated full-length drop step (D1), the D6 is a body mount rock slider that runs the full cab length tight against the vehicle's rocker panel body, with a 6-inch wide flat step area integrated into the top of the slider body across the full 68-inch length.

The body mount configuration is the key functional distinction from the D1 and D2. By mounting directly to the vehicle body structure rather than to OEM step holes, the D6 positions itself as close to the rocker panel as possible - both maximizing the gap between the bar's underside and the ground (rock clearance) and ensuring the slider body is in the correct position to absorb and deflect the rock strikes, stumps, and trail obstacles that contact the lower body during off-road use.
