Product Description

Brake fluid boiling isn't usually a rotor or pad problem - it's a heat transfer problem, with heat migrating from the pad backing directly into the caliper pistons and fluid. GiroDisc's titanium shims sit between the pad and pistons specifically to interrupt that heat path, using titanium's naturally low thermal conductivity, the same property that makes true racing calipers use titanium pistons in the first place.

Precision water-jet cut for a drop-in fit with no modification needed, these shims are cheap insurance for anyone running StopTech ST40 calipers on hard or repeated track days - a soft, sinking pedal from boiled fluid can end a track day fast, and this is a low-cost way to help prevent it.
