Fitment Notes

• Not for the 996 Turbo, 996 GT2, 997 Turbo, or 997 GT3 - those applications use larger pistons and require a different kit (CCRK1-032)

The GiroDisc CCRK1-031 is a front brake caliper rebuild kit engineered for the OEM Porsche Brembo front calipers fitted to the 986 Boxster, 987 Boxster and Cayman, 996 Carrera, and 997.1 Carrera. These calipers use 36mm and 40mm pistons, and this kit provides all piston seals and dust boots needed to fully restore one front caliper to proper working condition. Components are manufactured to GiroDisc's own specifications as purpose-built replacements for these Porsche caliper applications.

Even on vehicles that don't see frequent track use, the Brembo front caliper seals on these Porsche models are susceptible to age-related hardening and cracking - leading to piston sticking, fluid seeping past the pressure seals, and a soft or spongy pedal. A caliper rebuild with fresh seals and dust boots restores full piston travel and hydraulic integrity at a fraction of the cost of caliper replacement. For vehicles that do see track use, GiroDisc recommends pairing any caliper rebuild with their titanium pad shields, which act as a thermal barrier between the brake pad backing and the caliper face to dramatically reduce heat exposure to the seals and brake fluid.
