Product Description

The GiroDisc A1-242 Slotted 2-Piece Rotor Set is engineered as a direct replacement for the OEM front brake rotors on the 2020-2025 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 (C8). This upgrade offers improved thermal capacity and reduced weight, enhancing braking performance without compromising vehicle dynamics.

Featuring a two-piece design, the A1-242 rotors combine high-carbon cast iron rotor rings with lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum center hats. This configuration reduces unsprung weight by approximately 4.5 lbs per rotor compared to stock units, contributing to better acceleration and suspension response. The slotted pattern aids in heat dissipation and reduces brake fade, making them suitable for both street and track use.

Installation is straightforward, utilizing the existing OEM calipers and hardware. The floating rotor system, secured with high-strength alloy steel drive pins, allows for thermal expansion while maintaining rotor alignment. This setup ensures consistent braking performance under demanding conditions.

Please note that these rotors are not compatible with the Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brake systems. For vehicles equipped with CCM brakes, alternative rotor options are required.
