The GiroDisc CCRK1-166 is a front brake caliper rebuild kit designed specifically for the factory Brembo 4-piston front calipers fitted to the Honda Civic Type R in both FK8 (2017-2021) and FL5 (2022+) generations. Unlike most Brembo multi-piston designs that use two different piston diameters, the Type R's front calipers use four identical 40mm pistons, and this kit includes a complete set of piston seals and dust boots sized accordingly to rebuild one caliper to factory operating condition. Components are manufactured to GiroDisc's own specifications.

The Type R's Brembo front calipers are well-regarded for street and track performance, but the piston seals and dust boots are subject to accelerated wear when the car is pushed hard on track - particularly without titanium pad shields to reduce caliper heat exposure.
