Vehicle Fitment

  • 2003-2010 Dodge Viper SRT-10 - models equipped with standard OEM 355mm front brake rotors

Fitment Notes

  • Direct bolt-on replacement for OEM 355mm front rotors - no modifications, spacers, or caliper changes required
  • Compatible with factory OEM brake calipers - maintains original brake bias and ABS efficiency
  • Verify your Viper is equipped with the standard 355mm front rotors before ordering
  • Sold as a pair (two rotors)

Features

  • Two-piece floating rotor design separates the aluminum hat from the iron disc, allowing the rotor ring to float axially and radially - prevents warping, reduces pad knockback, and allows the rotor to self-center between the pads
  • Approximately 8 lbs lighter per rotor than OEM (18.4 lbs vs. ~27 lbs stock) - reduces unsprung weight and rotational inertia for improved acceleration response, suspension dynamics, and braking feel
  • 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum hat, black anodized for long-term corrosion resistance and a clean appearance
  • GiroDisc proprietary high-carbon cast iron rotor rings - same material specification used by professional racing organizations - for consistent performance, reduced fade, and longer service life
  • 48 curved directional vanes act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc during braking, significantly improving heat dissipation and braking consistency under sustained loads
  • 10 cadmium-plated high-strength alloy steel drive pins transfer braking torque loads while maintaining float - manufactured by GiroDisc in-house to proprietary specifications
  • Belleville washers and anti-noise spring clips eliminate rattle during cold operation while preserving full float at operating temperature
  • Fully rebuildable - replace only the cast iron rotor rings when worn; retain the aluminum hats and hardware for multiple service cycles
  • Made entirely in the USA using domestically sourced materials

Product Description

The GiroDisc A1-006 is a direct-fit two-piece floating front brake rotor set for the 2003+ Dodge Viper, engineered to replace the OEM 355mm rotors with a significantly lighter, more thermally capable design - no caliper changes, adapters, or modifications required. By separating the aluminum hat from the iron rotor ring through a 10-pin floating mount system, GiroDisc allows the ring to expand freely under heat without transmitting distortion to the hat or pads. The result is a rotor that resists warping, maintains consistent pad contact, and delivers more reliable pedal feel on track without the thermal fade that plagues heavy one-piece OEM castings.

At 18.4 lbs per corner - roughly 8 lbs lighter than the OEM rotor - the A1-006 meaningfully reduces both unsprung weight and rotational inertia, contributing to quicker acceleration, more responsive suspension, and sharper initial bite. The 48-vane curved internal design acts as a centrifugal pump, actively drawing cooling air through the disc to manage brake temperatures during repeated high-load stops. The proprietary high-carbon cast iron rotor rings are poured and machined entirely in-house at GiroDisc's USA facility, and when the rings eventually wear out, only the rings need to be replaced - the aluminum hats and hardware are retained, making the long-term cost of ownership highly competitive with conventional OEM replacement rotors.
