Product Description

The GiroDisc CCRK1-152 is a front brake caliper rebuild kit designed specifically for the factory Brembo 4-piston front calipers fitted to the 2010-2013 Audi TT RS (8J). These calipers use 40mm and 44mm pistons, and this kit includes all piston seals and dust boots needed to fully restore one caliper to proper operating condition. Components are manufactured to GiroDisc's own specifications as purpose-built replacements for this Audi application. Note that the 2017+ TT RS (8S chassis) uses a different 8-piston front caliper design and requires CCRK1-180 instead.

The Brembo front calipers on the TT RS are particularly vulnerable to seal degradation after track use, where sustained high brake temperatures cause piston seals and dust boots to harden, crack, or swell - resulting in piston sticking, fluid seeping past pressure seals, or a soft and inconsistent pedal. Rebuilding with fresh seals restores full hydraulic integrity and caliper function. GiroDisc recommends pairing any caliper rebuild with their titanium pad shields, which act as a thermal barrier between the brake pad backing plate and the caliper face to dramatically reduce heat transfer into the caliper body and brake fluid during hard braking.
