Fitment Notes

Product Description

The Go Fast Bits 3885 is the standalone G-Force III head unit, sold as a direct replacement or spare for existing GFB G-Force III Electronic Boost Controller installations (kits 3005 and 3008). It is the identical head unit supplied in both the 3005 and 3008 kits - the same half-DIN casing, the same full feature set, and the same capacitive touch interface - without the solenoid, wiring loom, hose, or fittings. This makes the 3885 the correct part for owners who need to replace a damaged or faulty head unit while retaining their existing wiring loom and solenoid, or for builders who already have a MAC solenoid installed and only need the controller itself.

The 3885 carries the complete G-Force III software and hardware feature set: six individually programmable boost presets with per-preset control over peak boost, rise rate, and closed-loop correction; a Scramble function for on-demand boost changes triggered from the on-screen button or a remote wired input; lean mixture protection that cuts boost and fires a visual warning if AFR exceeds the user-set threshold when connected to a wideband O2 controller; and independent overboost protection that instantly drops boost to minimum if the safety limit is exceeded. Closed-loop control compensates actively for boost variations caused by heat soak, altitude, RPM range, and gear changes, ensuring each preset delivers its programmed boost curve consistently across all conditions.

The half-DIN head unit measures 53.5 x 91.5 mm with just 18.5 mm of depth, allowing it to fit any standard stereo slot or be surface-mounted anywhere in the cabin using double-sided tape. The 3885 head unit connects directly to the wiring loom already installed from a 3005 or 3008 kit - no re-wiring required when replacing a faulty unit. If a replacement solenoid is also needed, the 3-port MAC solenoid is available as GFB 3835 and the 4-port MAC solenoid as GFB 3845.
