Product Description

The GFB 7305 WGA is a high-performance bolt-on internal wastegate actuator for single-scroll 1999-2021 Subaru WRX and STI, also fitting most single-scroll IHI VF turbos. It's built around increasing the "area under the boost curve" -- using a larger diaphragm than the factory actuator to give more control authority over the wastegate flap, so exhaust backpressure has a harder time forcing the wastegate open early during spool-up or at high RPM.

This addresses a known weak point in Subaru's factory 2-port boost control system, which struggles to fully shut off pressure to the wastegate during spool-up. The WGA ships with 5psi and 10psi springs installed for a 15psi base pressure, plus a 7psi spring included separately for further tuning, all adjustable through a unique turnbuckle pre-load system.

Important: this is a physical bolt-on part, but it functions as a tuning tool -- it will increase boost pressure, so a corresponding tune is required after installation. Not compatible with twin-scroll turbos, including special models like the Spec C Type RA.
