Product Description

The Gates 28408 is a 50-foot bulk roll of Safety Stripe EPDM heater hose in 5/16-inch inner diameter, designed for use on passenger cars and light trucks. EPDM construction makes it resistant to most modern coolants, non-oil-based coolant additives, and elevated cooling system pressures - providing a longer service life than conventional rubber heater hose in demanding thermal environments.

Rated to 60 psi and suitable for temperatures from -40°F to 257°F, this hose meets SAE 20R3 Standard Wall Class D-2 specifications. The 50-foot bulk roll is ideal for shop use or any application where multiple heater hose runs need to be cut from a single source. It is not recommended for heavy-duty trucks, buses, or construction equipment - those applications require Gates' Green Stripe heater hose. Do not use for fuel or oil lines.
