Product Description

The FOX 980-24-956 Performance Series 2.0 smooth body shock with remote reservoir is engineered to transform rear suspension performance on lifted Chevrolet and GMC heavy-duty trucks. Designed for 1999-2019 Silverado and Sierra 2500/3500 HD models, as well as compatible Suburban 2500, Yukon XL 2500, Avalanche 2500, and Hummer H2 applications with 4-6" lifts, this shock uses FOX's race-proven damping technology for a consistent and controlled ride. The internal floating piston (IFP) separates nitrogen gas from suspension oil to reduce aeration and maintain damping performance over varied terrain.

Built with an impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body and equipped with a remote reservoir, the FOX 2.0 Performance Series shock increases oil and gas capacity for better heat dissipation and fade resistance during extended off-road use. Application-specific valving and a high-flow piston deliver improved handling and stability compared to stock shocks, while quiet nitrile rubber bushings allow enhanced articulation with reduced noise.
