Product Description

The FOX 985-24-022 is a 2.0 Performance Series reservoir rear shock built for 1994-2013 Dodge Ram 2500 and 1994-2012 Ram 3500 trucks running 1.5 to 3.5 inches of rear lift, in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. A 2.0" impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body resists rust and dissipates heat far faster than steel, while the external reservoir adds oil and nitrogen capacity to keep performance consistent under sustained heat load.

Inside, FOX's Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design separates shock oil from the nitrogen-charged gas chamber, eliminating oil aeration so the race-developed high-flow piston and application-specific valving can deliver their full, factory-tuned performance. A redundant sealing pack system and 5/8" hard chrome plated shaft round out a build meant to handle washboard roads and repeated off-road abuse without losing control.

The same part fits either the left or right rear position -- no side-specific ordering needed. Sold individually, backed by FOX's 1-year limited warranty.
