The FOX 985-24-163 is a 2.0 Performance Series smooth body front shock with external reservoir for 2017-2025 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD trucks equipped with a 4" to 5" suspension lift. Also fits 2017-2019 F-450 and F-550 Super Duty Cab & Chassis models. The one-piece impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body with clear anodized finish dissipates heat faster than conventional steel while resisting rust and corrosion. The external hard-anodized aluminum reservoir increases oil and nitrogen capacity for consistent damping performance under demanding conditions. Inside, a race-developed high-flow piston paired with Ford Super Duty application-specific valving delivers predictable ride quality across all terrain -- from daily highway driving to aggressive off-road use. The internal floating piston separates shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen gas, eliminating oil aeration for maximum performance. JM92 Advanced Suspension Fluid maintains consistent operation across a wide temperature range. A redundant triple-seal system prevents leaks and contamination. Nitrile rubber bushings allow increased suspension articulation while minimizing noise. Installs as a direct bolt-on using factory mounting points -- no modifications required. Sold individually.
