Product Description

The FOX 985-24-056 is a 2.0 Performance Series remote reservoir shock with stem top mount and eyelet bottom mount, delivering 8.1" of travel with a 21.3" extended and 13.2" collapsed length. It is a universal application shock -- fitment is determined by the builder based on travel, mounting dimensions, and application requirements rather than a specific vehicle application. It replaces the prior FOX PN 980-24-635.

The 2.0" smooth-body design pairs with a remote reservoir connected via a -5 x 12.0" hose, increasing oil and nitrogen volume for improved heat dissipation and consistent damping under sustained use. An Internal Floating Piston (IFP) separates the oil charge from high-pressure nitrogen, maintaining stable damping throughout the stroke. The impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body dissipates heat faster than steel. A race-developed high-flow piston, redundant triple-sealing pack, and Teflon-lined spherical bearings deliver the durability and performance of FOX's race program in a street and trail-capable package. The bottom eyelet mount (ES3, PN 213-27-002-B) is sold separately. Billet reservoir clamp included. Fully rebuildable and serviceable. Made in the USA. Backed by FOX's 1-year limited warranty.
