Fitment Notes

• Front coil-over application for approximately 2.5-3.0 inches of front lift.
• Requires a compatible aftermarket upper control arm for the lifted application.
• For 2016-2018 trucks, a cast-aluminum lower control arm is required for CV boot clearance.
• OE aluminum lower control arm reference numbers are 22853473 and 22853474, or equivalent components.
• Cast-steel lower control arms are not compatible with the 2016-2018 application because of a different ball-joint taper.
• 2019 Silverado 1500 LD and Sierra 1500 Limited are legacy GMT900/K2XX continuation models and are listed separately from the 2007-2018 applications.

Product Description

The FOX 883-06-164 Performance Elite Series 2.5 coil-over reservoir shock pair is designed for the front suspension of compatible 2007-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks, along with the 2019 Silverado 1500 LD and Sierra 1500 Limited legacy applications. The coil-over assemblies provide approximately 2.5-3.0 inches of front lift while combining suspension damping, spring support, adjustable preload, and ride-height adjustment in one assembly.

Each shock uses a 2.5-inch aluminum body, remote reservoir, 3.0-inch Eibach racing spring, 7/8-inch hard-chrome-plated steel shaft, and application-specific valving. The Dual Speed Compression adjuster allows damping characteristics to be tuned for different driving and terrain conditions, while the external reservoir helps manage heat during demanding use.

Installation requires the appropriate suspension configuration and aftermarket upper control arm. For 2016-2018 trucks, FOX specifies a cast-aluminum lower control arm for CV boot clearance. This set is intended for compatible front applications with approximately 2.5-3.0 inches of lift and should be matched to the vehicle's exact chassis, drivetrain, and suspension configuration before installation.
