Product Description

The FOX 987-24-057 is a Performance Series 2.5 Smooth Body IFP rear shock with Hydraulic Top Out technology for the 2005-2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty with 6-8 inches of lift. The 2.5-inch monotube design features an Internal Floating Piston that separates the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas chamber, eliminating oil aeration and allowing maximum performance from the factory-tuned precision valving. The HTO system provides position-sensitive rebound damping control that reduces harsh top-outs -- particularly beneficial after installing heavier aggressive tires and running lift heights above OEM specification.

The Type II anodized aluminum body efficiently dissipates heat to prevent fade during sustained off-road use, while the 7/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft resists pitting and wear. All internal components are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with black anodize for durability and precision. Application-specific valving is tuned for the Ford Super Duty rear suspension at 6-8 inches of lift, delivering a comfortable on-road ride with predictable off-road handling in the roughest conditions.
