• Rear position only - this is a rear shock absorber. Separate Fabtech part numbers apply to the front positions.

Product Description

The Fabtech FTS6064 is a Stealth Monotube rear shock absorber engineered for the 2001-2010 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 series in lifted configurations. As a monotube design, it consolidates all damping components into a single pressurized tube with a full floating piston that physically separates the high-pressure nitrogen charge from the shock oil - eliminating the aeration and fade that twin-tube designs are prone to under repeated large suspension inputs. The 46mm high-flow piston and vehicle-specific valving are calibrated for the weight and travel characteristics of heavy-duty GM trucks running oversized tires, delivering a controlled, consistent ride rather than the harsh or unpredictable response that OEM shocks produce when pushed beyond their design envelope.

The 14mm Nitrocarburized piston rod addresses one of the most common failure modes for lifted truck shocks in real-world use - conventional chrome rods chip, rust, and score when exposed to rocks, gravel, and road salt, which then destroy the rod seal and cause leakage. Nitrocarburizing produces a harder, more corrosion-resistant surface that resists these failure modes. The all-black finish with raised nameplate completes the visual package in any lifted build.
