Product Description

The Exedy 16090 is an OEM replacement clutch kit designed for 1994-2004 Toyota trucks including the Tacoma, 4Runner, and T100 equipped with the 2.7L 3RZ-FE or 2.4L 2RZ-FE four-cylinder engine and manual transmission. As the original equipment manufacturer for the majority of Japanese vehicle applications, Exedy sets the benchmark for clutch quality and performance. The pressure plate undergoes robotic testing to verify precise clamp load and proper clutch lift separation, ensuring optimal pedal feel and drivability. The diaphragm spring receives high-frequency induction heat treatment to prevent premature wear at the release bearing contact surface, maintaining a like-new pedal feel throughout the clutch's service life.

The clutch disc features Exedy-engineered friction material developed in-house for exceptional engagement smoothness, consistent grip, and extended wear life. Heat-resistant, low-abrasion facings protect mating surfaces while the reduced disc weight minimizes sticking and gear noise. Disc spring dampers with seat stoppers absorb torsional vibrations and reduce drivetrain wear for increased durability. The 250mm (9-7/8") disc uses a 21-spline hub for direct fitment to the factory input shaft. The kit includes the pressure plate, clutch disc, release bearing, and alignment tool. Flywheel and pilot bearing are not included and should be inspected during installation. Professional installation recommended.
