Fitment Notes

• Does not fit the Honda Civic Si - the Si uses a different front suspension geometry and control arm specification.
• This kit covers the front upper and lower control arm bushings only - it does not include the shock mount bushings at the top and bottom of the shock/spring assembly. Those require a separate purchase (Energy Suspension part 16.8102).
• Fits into the remaining stock control arm shells - the factory outer shells are reused.
• A slight increase in NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) is expected compared to OE rubber, which is normal for performance polyurethane.

Product Description

The Energy Suspension 16.3114G is a front control arm bushing set engineered specifically for the 1996-2000 Honda Civic EK (excluding Si), replacing both the upper and lower front control arm bushings on both sides of the vehicle with Hyper-Flex performance polyurethane. Compared to the factory rubber, these bushings are firmer and dimensionally stable, delivering noticeably sharper steering response, reduced wheel hop under acceleration, and better alignment retention in corners - a meaningful upgrade for both street drivers and track enthusiasts. Honda does not sell replacement bushings separately, making this kit a far more cost-effective solution than replacing the entire control arm.

The full floating, non-binding design allows smooth suspension travel without the twist-and-bind issues that can occur with stiff pressed-in bushings. The polyurethane is chemically resistant to the oils, salts, and solvents that degrade rubber over time. Installation uses the factory outer metal shells, keeping the process manageable for a skilled DIYer with basic press tools.
