  • 2000-2006 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 (2WD)

Fitment Notes

  • 2WD applications only - not confirmed for 4WD versions of these trucks
  • Front application only
  • Requires a 32mm (1.25 in) front sway bar diameter - confirm your truck's factory sway bar diameter before ordering, since GM full-size SUVs and trucks from this era shipped with more than one sway bar size depending on trim and options
  • Red bushing color - the same set is also available in black (3.5214G) if bushing color preference matters for your build

Features

  • Makes the factory sway bar system perform like a larger, higher-performance bar
  • Made from Hyper-Flex polyurethane, which lasts significantly longer than OEM rubber bushings
  • Improves sway bar effectiveness and overall handling response
  • Easy installation compared to a full sway bar upgrade
  • Economical way to noticeably improve handling without replacing the sway bar itself

Product Description

The Energy Suspension 3.5214R is a front sway bar bushing and end link set built for GM's full-size 2WD SUV lineup - Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, and Yukon - matched specifically to the 32mm front sway bar these trucks use. By replacing the factory rubber sway bar bushings with firmer polyurethane, the bar itself grips more securely against its mounting points, which Energy Suspension notes makes the existing bar behave more like a larger, stiffer aftermarket unit without the cost of actually swapping the bar.

Because the kit includes both the frame-mounted sway bar bushings and the end link bushings, it addresses the two most common wear points in a sway bar system at once - a common failure mode where a stiffer bar bushing alone doesn't fully translate to better handling if the end link bushings are still worn and introducing play.

The main thing to verify before ordering is your truck's actual front sway bar diameter, since GM full-size trucks and SUVs from this generation shipped with different bar sizes depending on trim level and factory options - a 32mm confirmation (measured directly off the bar if you're unsure) is the safest way to avoid a mismatch.
